26 September

Hello! We are TWO this week! Can you believe it? We have been baking bread, serving you coffees, chatting to you about bread and everything else, making you smile, giving you sugar overdose for the past 24 months. That is a long time and feels like nothing. We still meet people who only found out about us every week, surprised and happy about the fact that there is good bread in Stevenage. Many of you are surprised that we make and bake everything in the market and you admire our skills of working in such a tiny space (I admire those skills too if I am honest). Sometimes it is a big, creative mess. Other days we are neat and very organised. We hope the results are always at the same high level and you always leave the bakery happy and satisfied.

Last year was very exciting, quite bumpy, emotional to say the least. I have gained a whole (small) team of wonderful people, we nearly had a shop and we nearly moved the baking from the market. I am sure you are all watching the situation closely so I don't need to explain that for now, we will leave the things as they are (at least for a while because we have some beautiful plans).

This week, to celebrate our birthday, we are bringing back your favourite bread with miso and black sesame (as voted on instagram). We will also have plenty of that silky smooth Polish cheesecake with soft meringue on top and we shall also serve our birthday sourdough chocolate cake.

Don't forget about our pumpkin spice latte offer (it comes with a free spiced biscuit) and make the most of autumn.
