It has been a while!

Hope you are all well. I was just thinking about the days when I used to have so much free time that I would write an update for everyone once a week. Oh I miss those times a lot. Ever since we moved to Weston and got so busy, I have really been trying not to do anything work related on my two days off but I thought that this time I owe you some of my own time, otherwise I would never write those words (apologies about a little bit dramatic!).

I am sure you all already know this but I would like to confirm that we have settled at Lannock Farm really well and very quickly realised that we do not have enough space. Well, some decisions have been made and we are working our way around the problem and have some ideas too. Many of you is curious about the room next door - our lovely landlords are working on a farm shop (which is super exciting) so please stay tuned. We will also be able to use the space as an additional seating as some point so we will be able to host many more guests, at the moment (as you can probably see) sometimes we can't fit all of you in, which I apologise for. Maybe at some point we will stop being popular and there will be just about enough space? Who knows! Anyway, we are super grateful that you come to see us, even though it seems we are in the middle of nowhere, it also seems that people need to be away from the town, noise and rush of everyday life. I hope that apart from getting your pastries and bread, you are also finding some peace.

Also, thank you so much that you keep coming to Old Town Stevenage. The queues seem to be getting longer and longer which is very appreciated (it also continues to scare me, every queue to Leavened I can see, gives me a little bit of anxiety, probably in a good way).

There are a few important things I want to let you know about, I hope you can keep on reading.

First of all, this Thursday, we will be hosting first Book and Pudding club, organised by lovely Alison. The book club will be happenig every last Thursday of the month in Weston and if you still want to join, you may do so by following this link.

And one last thing, but very important - we will be closed for a summer break both in Weston and in Stevenage from 8 till 21 August. We will open both locations on Thursday 22 August, hopefully with new energy and even more and better ideas. It is also possible that we won't open the Old Town shop 3 - 4 August as it is the time of Old Town Live festival (and half of my staff will already be holidaying). I will keep you updated.
