19 December 2022

I think this is my last "newsletter" to you this year and I truly can not believe it. I still remember the heat of summer holidays, frying loads of doughnuts in February, stressing over some events we catered for (successfully). It was a year when we acquired a new team member, baked hundreds of loaves and pastries, visited some amazing places, went to various courses and had a great time baking together (I hope my co workers agree with the last statement). We bake, we clean, we make a lot of mess, we bake and clean again, learn a lot, swear a lot (well, that's mainly me I guess) and day by day become more and more bonded (just like gluten strands). I hope that for us the next year will be eventful and we will be able to fulfill our small dreams. I wish that you make your dreams come true too, however small or big they may be.

This week is going to be busy for us for sure so I would like to encourage you (if you can) to get some bread on Wednesday and Thursday. Our sourdough freezes very well and I know that because there is hardly ever any fresh bread in my household. There is an old polish saying "Szewc bez butów chodzi" (try to pronounce this!) and this is about me (translated to a shoemaker walks around barefoot). We always freeze loaves cut in half and defrost them a night before and they are as good as fresh.

This week we will keep it simple with occasional surprises:

We now only accept orders for Potstop collection, no other orders this week please.
