Hello. I don't know about you but I am already dreaming about summer holidays which already started back home in Poland. Not that I will get to have 6 weeks off but even not having to make lunch is already a benefit. Not long now though!
There are a few new bits and bobs this week:
I have bought some rye flour from a local mill in St Albans (Redbournbury Mill) so all of our dark rye this week will be made with it. I also do recommend visiting this lovely place, if you haven't been, as it is also a museum set in a beautiful surroundings and there is a bakery that is open every Saturday.
Bread of the week is porridge sourdough and I just want to say - if you haven't tried it yet please do so. Many of our customers said they were reluctant to give it a go and once they did they had no regrets. This bread is delicious. Thanks to the added porridge the crumb is soft and it keeps fresh a little longer. And it goes with everything.
